The only way we can be a child of God is for us to allow Christ to live in us. God had\has one child, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ . . . therefore Jesus must live within my shell of a body instead of me . . . in order for me to truly be God’s child.

"I no longer live, but Christ lives in me," Gal. 2:20.

Paul continues to say. . . "I am in the pains of childbirth till Christ be formed in you," Gal. 4:19.

Dying to self . . . submission . . . total dependency . . . these are hard words, difficult words to hear and even more difficult to understand. Yet to be a true child of God these are necessary. And to the true child of God these are joyful words, healing words, peaceful words.

"Just let go . . . and let God." A simple phrase, yet do you do it? Do you do it when your child has fallen into the snare of drugs? Do you do it when the doctor brings words of dread? Do you do it when your company’s down-sizing and the pink slip comes? Do you do it when divorce threatens? Do you do it even when everything is going well and you are successful? Do you do it when your health is fine and the outlook is rosy? Do you do it when relationships are blessed and things are going your way? Do you do it . . . at all times?

You must do it. You must let go of everything, yes, even your very own life . . . and let God have it. Your life must become nothing; you must die . . . and then your life becomes His life. Christ must live in you instead of you. For you to actually live, must be Christ.

"For me to die is gain, for me to live is Christ," Phil. 1:21.

Father, take away all within me that’s not You. Form Your Son Jesus Christ within me, O Lord. I surrender my life to You for my life to become Your life. Dear Jesus, live in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
