| When I cry out, "My God, my God! Where are You?" in the midst of great pain and suffering . . . I have forgotten that my God El Roi sees the big picture. He knows what He is doing. He wrote the script and He knows the ending resolution of my life story. Why can't I rest in that? Why do I insist on worrying? What silly human folly! Forgive me, O Lord God, for listening to the lies the evil one whispers to me. O, forgive me for my unbelief that You alone can and will handle everything including my life and troubles and worries. Dear Lord, grant me increased faith in your Divine Power over all. Help me not to cry out in anguish and in doubt, "My God! Where are You?" but to cry out in joy, "My God, You are here with me. I thank You!" Make Your presence fully known to me more and more each day. Help my unbelief. In times of dark despair, O Lord, remind me that You have begun a good work in me and that You will carry it on to completion until the day Christ Jesus comes again. Help me remember this and be confident in knowing it deep within my soul and spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Text: Philippians 1:6 |
